Based on a British classic issued During the WWI and WWII by the British army to protect the troops against the cold but allowing freedom of movement. These garments generally had four buttons and were lined with khaki wool. They were practical, hardwearing and extremely appreciated by officers and other ranks alike. We have issued 2 versions, both in vegetable tanned cowhide leather with different linings. One with Khaki 100% wool serge fabric like the original, which was sometimes used for lining in Parson's jackets and tailor made shirts in WWII. and a light weight version with Herringbone Twill Camo lining. We called it Kraken, in homage to the fearless sea monster, as it was an incredibly hard exercise to mastercraft by hand in our small atelier.
