La gamuza se fabrica con la parte inferior de la piel de vacuno, previamente cepillada para hacerla más suave y flexible. Proviene de granjas del sur de Brasil (Rio Grande do Sul). Se curte en Brasil, sin utilizar productos químicos peligrosos o prohibidos. VEJA utiliza tintes convencionales que cumplen la normativa. Se presta especial atención al uso del agua durante el proceso de curtido. Además, la gamuza se recubre con aceites hidrófugos sin PFC (compuestos químicos) para proteger las zapatillas de la lluvia ligera. La gamuza cuenta con la certificación Silver del Leather Working Group. The B-Mesh fabric is made from 100% recycled polyester, sourced from recycled plastic bottles that are shredded into flakes and transformed into fibers in a Brazilian factory. The chamois is made from the lower part of the cowhide previously brushed to make it softer and more flexible. It comes from farms in southern Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul). It is tanned in Brazil, respecting REACH regulations. Particular attention is paid to the use of water during the tanning process.
