El Ripstop es un tejido reforzado estructuralmente que es resistente a los desgarros gracias a su tejido en forma de rejilla de hilos finos y gruesos. Si se produce un desgarro en el material, éste se limitará a la circunferencia del cuadrado. Ligero, se suele utilizar para actividades al aire libre que requieren mucha tecnicidad. Las zapatillas V-90 de Veja son un testimonio de la innovación ecológica. Confeccionados con cuero de origen orgánico, estos zapatos brasileños utilizan menos tintes que el cuero tradicional, lo que reduce el impacto ambiental. La gamuza se fabrica con la parte inferior de la piel de vacuno, previamente cepillada para hacerla más suave y flexible. Proviene de granjas del sur de Brasil (Rio Grande do Sul). Se curte en Brasil, sin utilizar productos químicos peligrosos o prohibidos. VEJA utiliza tintes convencionales que cumplen la normativa. Se presta especial atención al uso del agua durante el proceso de curtido. Además, la gamuza se recubre con aceites hidrófugos sin PFC (compuestos químicos) para proteger las zapatillas de la lluvia ligera. La gamuza cuenta con la certificación Silver del Leather Working Group. The chamois is made from the lower part of the cowhide previously brushed to make it softer and more flexible. It comes from farms in southern Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul). It is tanned in Brazil, respecting REACH regulations. Particular attention is paid to the use of water during the tanning process.
