The Red Wing Shoes 875 Classic Moc style is the ultimate Red Wing classic. Its older brother, the Red Wing 877 was originally introduced in the 1950s to serve the needs of hunters and farmers. The Red Wing 877 was built to withstand the hard labor and harsh conditions and the high shaft protected them from snake bites. In 2013 Red Wing introduced a new leather for the 877: Oro-Legacy leather as a tribute to the history of the 877 and 875 boots based on designs from the Red Wing archives. The Oro-Legacy leather is based on the leather from the legendary Red Wing Irish Setter boots from the 1970s. Because there is no pigment added during the finishing process of the Red Wing leather the natural character of the leather is emphasised. On top of that the Red Wing Oro-Legacy leather ages beautifully and shows great craftsmanship.
